When mold repeatedly exceeds monitoring limits in pharmaceutical clean areas, unidentified contamination sources or transmission pathways may contribute to recurrence. VanTsteri provides investigation and remediation support for pharmaceutical clean areas, HVAC systems and complex equipment spaces.

The investigation brings together historical monitoring records, site assessment, environmental sampling and mold identification. Areas for review include facility layout, temperature and humidity, return-air pathways, equipment gaps, and the movement of personnel and materials.

Plan treatment around the investigation

Investigation findings guide the scope of cleaning, local remediation, room treatment with vaporized hydrogen peroxide (VHP), and HVAC treatment. The specific work is determined from the conditions on site.

Chemical indicators (CI), biological indicators (BI) and microbiological retesting are arranged according to the project scope. Investigation and treatment records support deviation handling, corrective actions and subsequent monitoring. Decisions on restarting operations and release remain subject to review under the customer’s quality system.
